First time getting IUD

So today I am getting the IUD, it is my first time with it and I am really nervous. Is there anything that I could do to help with the pain? I am taking Advil 15 min by and I bought so period cramp patches for after. My mom is going with me but I get some extra advice for the pain for during and after. Thanks so much.
