How to get toddler out of crib after csection??

I am 3 weeks after my second csection. I have an 18 month old. Wondering how do I get my 18 month olds out of her crib. Husband has been doing morning and night. Mom has been helping for nap time. But I’ll be on my own next week. Not sure how to do this safely without hurting myself. Any advice? Thank you

I would call your doctor and ask. Mine said no lifting my toddler until after I was cleared at my 6 week appt, but he’s 3.5 & like 36 lbs. So that would obviously be different from an 18 month old. 
You could try getting a step ladder? Or think about making the transition to a toddler bed. You could even do a Montessori style floor bed. You just definitely want to be careful because you obviously don’t want to hurt yourself and be out of commission longer.

Can you have him walk up a small step stool with your hand for support? You would still be lifting but at least you wouldn't have to bend over while doing it.

My doc said I could lift my toddler. I’m 3 weeks postpartum. I’ve been lifting her in and out of her crib since 1 week postpartum with no issues. However, it depends on how you feel. My c-section this time was amazing. I had hardly any pain. I didn’t feel like my guts were going to fall out. It didn’t give me any discomfort to lift her. Obviously, I’m not lifting my child very often and I do it very carefully just in case but by 3 weeks pp I’d think you should be ok enough to life your 18 month old. My 18 month old is 28 pounds just for reference.

By 3 weeks I was healed with all my kids, so im no help one time length.
But id give my child a hand and something like a stool or ladder to climb up onto bed or something in the likes.

Does the crib turn into a toddler bed?

Might be time to start transitioning out of the crib. We started when my son was 16m and I had baby #2 on the way. He was fully out and in a twin bed by 20 months old.

Can you take few bars out? Than your toddler can get in and get out by himself
