Is it worth buying tiny baby clothes?

So I’m now finishing up shopping for when little one arrives. Is it worth buying some tiny baby clothes or do most babies go straight into newborn? New mum here who’s clueless😂

I had newborn only and ended up with a 6 lb baby. Just bought a few premie outfits on Amazon after the baby was born and it worked out just fine.

I have maybe 1 NB outfit (plus the one for first photos). Most of my 0-3 outfits are baby gowns in a variety of colors that make changing easier. I just roll the sleeves until their arms are long enough to 'fit'.

I had 6 tiny baby outfits for my daughter, just in case. She was born 8lb 1oz and went straight into newborn... which she wore for about 2-3 months 🤷‍♀️ If it wasn't for her length, she probably could have fit into tiny baby because newborn was massive on her. Honestly it's hard to tell until they're here. She's now 2 and wears 9-12 and 12-18. I'd get some just in case but don't go overboard. I bought mine secondhand.

Just a few newborn clothes/outfits. 0-3 month clothes are usually a bit too big for a few weeks. Get zippered footed sleepers (SO much easier than the snap ones for changing).

You’ll want about 5-7 newborn outfits and the rest 0-3 and up. My first daughter was 7lbs when she was born and I originally hadn’t bought any newborn clothes Bc I thought she would be a big baby but she fit in newborn clothes for about 2 weeks and that was it
