No paid maternity leave…want to stop working now

I’m 36 weeks today (I feel like baby is coming within the next couple weeks 🥴). I lost my job last year and took a contract position where I work from home. The position is only supposed to last until January but obviously my position will end whenever my baby is born. Our kids won’t be in daycare which is an expense we don’t have to worry about anymore. I will be staying home with them and working from home. it’s a new career that I’ve never been in and it’s basically working for myself on commission but I get to make my own hours. The issue is that I would love to stop working now but I would like to make as much money as possible before baby comes. I’m mentally and physically exhausted with work, unpacking/organizing, our oldest kid and just everything else. Has anyone else stopped working already without paid maternity leave?
