I know there is very little research on this topic so everyone advises against it because they don’t know what else to do but I can’t help but think it has to be so much better than all the pills doctors try to put us on for PPD and PPA.
I’m not talking a whole blunt to the face. I’m talking an occasional hit here and there.

Be extremely careful.. THC not only transfers but concentrates in the breast milk and the babies will absorb and metabolize it.. THC has also been found in breast milk up to 6 weeks later
When your baby’s cognitive development is in such a critical stage, why would you want to risk it? 
And the whole, “ I know plenty of people who did it and their babies are healthy and thriving…” is such a lame argument.  My mother did lots of coke and drank alcohol while pregnant with me and I’m pretty okay too, doesn’t make it right. 
Yes, there is limited research.. however what we know doesn’t look good.

It takes 6 days for one hit of weed to no longer be present in breastmilk. So if u don’t want baby to be exposed, then you will have to avoid it all together or just formula feed if u can’t avoid it for some reason.

The studies they have done are a joke and therefore no one can give clear evidence that it’s bad or good. I’m breastfeeding and miss smoking occasionally but I probably won’t do it anytime soon. 
I feel so sad for moms who are suffering and can’t get the help they need.

I dont know from personal experience but I do plan on breastfeeding this time around and I do miss the hell out of smoking but I do know that THC does pass through breast milk to baby. What affect this has no one can say for certain but from what research I’ve done myself I’ve seen very little mentioned and the most I’ve seen spoken in correlation with smoking weed while breastfeeding is “some believe it can lead to cognitive delays”. I knew a girl who breast fed her daughter and would smoke very occasionally maybe a couple times a month if that and her daughter is a happy healthy 4 year old. Doesn’t mean there can’t be side effects but that is just what I have witnessed and what I have gathered from looking things up online throughout my pregnancy.

Absolutely not. I quit smoking weed when I got pregnant with my first and I didn't smoke weed again until I weaned my third baby. If I had thought it was more important to keep smoking weed for my anxiety and depression, I would have formula fed so I could smoke. I chose breastfeeding over weed. There is not enough research for me to feel comfortable doing both.
