Metformin ER 500mg for weight loss?

Question

I went to see my doctor today she told me I was close to become pre-diabetes and that I have  pcos. I told her I wanted to  loss weight so She prescribed me Metformin ER 500mg once a day with food for side effect.
Have anyone lost their appetite while on Metformin  ?

Hi I am on it and it’s just been few days not much of a change In Appetite or weight yet . For me mainly it’s for my irregular periods with pcos
