Blazing peak but no ovulation ?

Hi ladies I was wondering if it is possible to have a positive LH surge but not to ovulate that cycle ? My previous cycle I had a positive LH surge on CD 9/10 but I didn’t end up pregnant 😔. Even though I BD before during and the day after the surge!?

Opks do not determine ovulation, the just detect a surge in LH. You can have multiple surges a cycle and never ovulate. You would need to be temping to actually confirm ovulation. But just because you didn’t get pregnant doesn’t mean ovulation did not occur. Did your period come on time? Ovulation is one thing, actually getting pregnant is another story! Regardless how hard you try and how well you time everything. It can take 1-2 years to conceive naturally.

1 not every time we ovulate we release a fertile egg.
2: Lh strips don’t confirm ovulation they only detect your Lh hormone surge
3: have you pcos/hormones issues? 
4: each cycle is only 30 percent of pregnancy happening
