Primrose oil to help start labor?

Has anyone ever tried evening primrose oil to help Induce labor? My MIL is strongly encouraging me to take it and the google searches don’t seem that bad. She also wanted me to try black cohosh but after looking that up I don’t want to risk it. Has primrose oil helped you? Is it safe to take/ actually work.

Primrose oil is most effective when inserted into the vagina. It helps soften the cervix and I’ve use it for my last two pregnancy and will be this time to. It worked for me.

I tried and believe its safe but... it didnt work ! But i for me not even the induction worked so...
But the black cohosh is more risky, i would stay away  from it unless you are beeing followed by a Professional herbalist

I don’t know if it helped but I started taking it at 34 weeks with both pregnancies. I was induced with my 1st and went into labor naturally with my 2nd. So 🤷🏻‍♀️
