Antibiotics and sex.

I'm currently taking Bactria in order to help with an infection on my skin from a popped pimple gone wrong. My boyfriend comes to visit me for my birthday tomorrow and I was curious if it's safe to have sex? I'm on the pill but afraid it's effectiveness has been reduced?
