Remember the poll is anonymous and nobody will know your response. Im genuinely just curious to see the true numbers. I’m sure a lot of people will answer no who are actually positive and don’t know it, but I’m curious to see how many are aware.

Never had either. I don’t share beverages or food and I make sure that my partners have clean STD panels. No shame in those who test positive but for me? No thank you.

Just so you’re all aware - herpes doesn’t show up on a typical STD panel. It’s not tested for unless there is a specific concern regarding it. And the only way to test it is with a specific panel for herpes. MANY people have it and do not know it as it can lie dormant for years and many people never even have symptoms. So I can pretty much guarantee most of you have slept with someone who has it or have it yourselves and don’t know it. Don’t be so quick to judge and click no unless you have specifically been tested for herpes.

It’s estimated around 70% of the global population has oral herpes. Majority of people never have cold sores so they aren’t aware that they have it. I’ve never had any cold sores, but statistically I probably have it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Okay if you are referring to oral yes 70% of the population has them. But genital that’s a different thing.

I have cold sores that occasionally come up on my mouth (which is the herpes simplex virus) but not genital herpes. Never had them either.
