Yesterday my husband and I finally had a date night.

One with the kid out of the house and we saw a movie, we had dinner out and went home and had sex in multiple places and in multiple variations.

It was just a freaking wonderful night! We felt in love, we laughed, we had fun and we were relaxed.

Our daughter is almost 3 years old. It took us almost 3 years to get to this point again. To laugh, feel in love and have a whole lot of sex in 24 hours. If you had told me we would feel like this again when she was just short of a year, I would have laughed. Life was hard, I had untreated ppd and sleep was not a thing.

So I'm just here to tell you guys, it gets better. Try and take care of your relationship the best way you can. Agree that things are slow and boring for a while but promise to make it better when the newborn is a toddler.
