Anybody have experience with cerclage in 2nd trimester?

Was just told that I have to have a cerclage placed in in 2 days, anyone had the procedure before that doesn’t mind giving me a heads up on what to expect? Are they successful? I’m 20 weeks currently and super nervous. I experienced PROM at 24 weeks with my last pregnancy but suffered a loss with her. Just trying to ease my mind, I’m super nervous about everything but willing to do whatever to save my daughter.

I had an emergency cerclage my last pregnancy at 17.5 weeks. Procedure was fine - I had no cervix left and was just starting to dilate when they caught it. I was so scared I spent the rest of my pregnancy on bed rest… only gradually getting more mobile at 30 weeks. But I went full term!
This time I had a preventative cerclage at 14 weeks and am almost 17.5 weeks. Hoping everything goes ok this time around.

Going through my second cerclage this time around. Went full term with my firstborn after a loss with twins with 17 weeks. With my firstborn I got a cerclage with 14 weeks and 13 weeks this time around. Everything went great.. Dr told me I did not have to be in bed rest even though my cervix opened up and stopped at the cerclage when I was 20 weeks. I went full term with 39 weeks. They remove the cerclage at 37 weeks. 
The procedure is simple, so is recovery. You will get an epidural and procedure should take about 20 min. As soon as you are able to pee they will let you go home. Light bleeding for a couple of days and a little sore but then you are good to go. Make sure to follow your Drs recommendation 😌 best of luck to you!
