Advice needed: expectant management vs misoprostol

Hi all, looking for advice.

I should be 7+3 today (Wednesday) but yesterday I had spotting very briefly (just once then it stopped). My dr told me to go to the ER, they did an ultrasound and said they could see a sac but everything was measuring behind. Unclear if they saw a yolk sac or fetal pole. They basically told me either I miscarried or my dates are off but not likely. No fetal heart rate.

I’ve had zero spotting or anything since and my options are expectant management or misoprostol if it doesn’t start on its own. Just really unsure what I want to choose. I have a previously scheduled dating ultrasound for Monday, I guess I could wait until then and confirm again that it’s not viable and start the misoprostol then or I could just start the misoprostol sooner. I’ve heard that the misoprostol sucks so I’d really like to avoid it but I also dont want to waste time waiting then end up taking it anyway.

Any advice or previous experiences would be appreciated. I just want to get this over with to start trying again. I have two healthy kids from my first two pregnancies, had an early mc in June (period was about a week late) and then now this miscarriage. 😔
