I’m pretty set on the name Za’niyah Renae for our girl bit a few people on here said to lose the ‘ but that’s my favorite part about the name So you guys like the name?

My boyfriend has an apostrophe in his name and it cause issues with government and official document when they don’t allow anything but letters in the space but his name is different on other forms because it does contain the apostrophe. Just something to consider for her future!

I think it’s a beautiful name but I would lose the apostrophe. It’s really not needed.

Adding apostrophes into names isn’t part of my culture so I’ve never considered doing it, and I can imagine ways it could cause the child hassles in her future like on forms and stuff.
But it’s not super weird, either, and I don’t think it’s bad to do. Lots of people do use apostrophes in names and it’s not shocking or unfamiliar. It’s part of their familial or cultural traditions and that’s okay.
