Fluctuating milk supply??

Question

Do any bf mommy’s have low milk supply one day and the next it’s up again? I made the mistake of sleeping on my tummy and that’s when I noticed the change. I had to get a lactation consultant and luckily the tips she gave me helped but baby does not take the bottle nor pacifier and I’m a bit worried if my milk supply goes low and doesn’t come back baby won’t want to eat.

Anytime I’m really tired my supply is lower. I need a nap and it’s back up. Sleep seems to be the biggest factor for me.

I’ve had it happen to me a couple times and I was surprised. I managed to get it back up though. I would start introducing a bottle once a day, just in case. You can have someone else give baby the bottle, which might help them be more open to taking it. 
If you need to keep your supply going, oats, coconut water, body armor, anything protein is great to keep it up. If you have a pump, you can also power pump to build up the supply. It’s all a matter of supply and demand and staying hydrated. I usually pump for about 10 minutes 20 minutes after a feeding just to help get the rest of the milk and build my supply. I did this with my first and built up an amazing freezer stash that lasted until his first bday.
