Dying curly(3c)???

Question

I want to dye my hair a pastel pink. I’m mixed and have thick 3c curly hair. I want to know the possible effects this could have on my hair and if it’s will mess up my curl pattern. Also any personal experiences with how your hair became after you dyed it. Will my hair forever be damaged if I do it? I straightened my hair  a lot before COVID happened but since it started I’ve been taking really great care of my hair and not straightening it at all. Will my hair never be the same and will my curls be ruined?? Any information will help as well as how to take care of my hair if I do choose it dye it. Also is there any other way to dye it that color without bleaching it? Btw my hair is very dark brown, boarder line black. Thanks for any advice!

Bleach damages hair of any type. It will depend on its current condition too. You will need lots of bleach to get your hair as white as possible to achieve any pastel colours. Since you have very dark hair you will need 2/3 lots of bleach to create a base before the pastel colour is put on. 
I wouldn’t recommend anyone doing that at home. I would also say that olaplex should be involved to minimise the damage.

I have wavy ish loose curls. My hairs been really dry for the bleach. The first time I've bleached my hair, my hair was fine and it still curled. But I dyed my hair dark and then re bleached it and it's gone straight ish 
It depends on the condition of your hair if it can handle it. You will need to lighten your hair to a white colour to add pastel dye. The only way it'll be that light is bleaching 
You could always do a test strand, cut a small piece out, bleach it, then try style it as you would your normal hair.
That is probably the only way you'll know how your hair will react to bleach. Even someone with similar hair type hair will react differently

You’re not going to go from black to pastel without bleach. And bleach really dries your hair out so you need to make sure you keep up with your deep conditioners if you do decide to dye it. I say do one deep condition maybe a week before and then once a week after

I have curly hair. I bleach it like twice a year. This time I went to a salon and noticed my curls didn’t bounce back after. 
Last time I bleached about 7 months ago.
