Well if his ex in laws hated me before... They sure do now...

We had a party for my step son's 16th birthday. My daughter helped set up his party. We did a kind of sensory party. My step son has autism and this was my daughters idea. She's 19 and adores him. We had so many sensory activities and he loved it. Now my husband's ex wives in laws showed up uninvited. His mom left him when he was 3 and only talked to him like 3 times a year over the phone. Her parents are barely in his life as well. His biological mom died in December.... He didn't go to the funeral because he didn't want to. I let them stay to spend time with him but they spent most of the time starting stuff. My stepson was talking about his stuffed animals and his maternal grandmother was saying he's too old to have stupid stuff like that. Then started telling my daughter this party was stupid and shes "letting his autism run wild" What? He kept calling me mama through out the party like he always does and it made them mad. During presents they gave him an expensive painting of his mom. They said it will remind him of the love they have for each other. He sats "But I don't love Kelly. I didn't really know her". He then hugged me and said im his mommy. Well his grandparents went off on us telling my son he's an ungrateful brat making him cry. Then told our daughter shes not his sister and to stop acting like it and started talking about something I had no idea about and said "We found out from a little someone about your pregnancy. You're trying to one up us because you couldn't get your own pregnancy to the 2nd trimester". I had no idea my daughter got pregnant or had a miscarriage. Made her cry. Then told me ill never be their grandsons real mother. My husband is yelling at them to leave. They finally do. That is how my sons 16th birthday went....
