Not sure where to post this but it’s been on my mind a lot lately.

When I was 16 I made a Facebook without my parents knowing I knew they wouldn’t approve but I did it anyways because all my friends had one and I wanted to fit in. Back then if you used your phone it would at your number to the bio at the time I didn’t know this until I got a text from some man.

Him:hey beautiful

Me: confused who is this?

Him: my friend was using my phone for Facebook and he had your profile up, long story short I got your number from Facebook.

I went on my Facebook and I removed my number and ignored his text.

The next morning I wake up and I got another text from him telling me Goodmorning and of course me thinking he is weird.

Me:why are you texting me I don’t know you

Him: I’m trying to get to know you he sends me pics of him

Me: you look a lot older than me how old are you

Him: 26

Me:oh no I don’t want to talk to you I’m only 16

Him: Age don’t matter I’m not scared of jail

He kept texting/calling me sending me nudes/sex tapes of him with these grown women. I was scared to tell my parents because then they would find out I had a Facebook and I didn’t want them to know. A month or two later he stopped texting me. Until my pop pop got sick and he was in the hospital and my mom, grandma,aunt and my boy cousin who was about 15 at the time went up to the hospital and I was a man looking at me and he looked familiar but I wasn’t sure if it was the same person my aunt, mom and grandma went to the back to see my pop pop. And I was sitting down with my cousin we were both in our phones I felt someone staring at me, I looked up and it was him. He was smiling and licking his lips at me and my cousin saw him and he stopped looking. As soon as my cousin turned his head he did it again and I got creeped out. I was scared to let someone know so ignored him. I’m assuming he was waiting for someone soon a woman walked out and they left together, as he was walking out he winked at me. Soon the texts and calls started I kept the number for years because I was on my mother’s plan and she wasn’t going to let me change my number and I didn’t know anything about blocking people. This man chased me until I was 18. A grown man listing after a 16 year old virgin, with no car or money. I just recently saw him when I went to the store and he tried talking to me I said hello and ignored the rest of what he was saying but it didn’t click in my mind who he was until I drove off. I really wish I would have spoke up and told someone what was going on he was a child predator and I didn’t even realize it until I was grown. I’m 25 now I wasn’t trying to be grown and I didn’t dress grown I acted like a normal teenage girl. But parents please check your kids phone, monitor what they are doing. Talk to them please.
