24 weeks leaking fluid false positive??

Question

I'm 24 weeks I went to the hospital last night due to suspicious liquid which I thought maybe amniotic fluid. 
The swab they did for it came back positive so I got an ultrasound done at the level of fluid came back smack dab in the middle of a normal range. The level of fluid is great around the baby. So they sent me home. I have another ultrasound tomorrow but I am worried as I had slow leakage with my son and sure enough I went into labor shortly after. 
I'm wondering if I should be worries or if it maybe is a legit false positive?! Is this possible? Please share your insight.

Don’t take this lightly. Advocate for yourself. Trust your gut. 
Most likely not a false positive. You could have had fluid on the higher side and it’s slowly leaking making it appear within normal range.
When you get a follow up, have them check you cervix length. Did they check for dilation?

I started leaking amniotic fluid around 28 weeks, there was a small leak in the top of the amniotic sac but eventually it stopped leaking. My son was born at 34 weeks but fluid levels were still within normal range at that time so they said it wasn’t a factor for me. Definitely follow up and make sure every question you have is answered, but you may not necessarily need to panic yet!

Just be careful! I pPROM’d at 34+6 and the doctors did 3 tests to make sure it was amniotic fluid- they were hesitant to believe me. They did an amniotic swab, a fern test, and an ultrasound (where the ultrasound also showed totally normal fluid levels too) but they all came back positive so I was admitted and gave birth 2 days later

Sometimes you can have a small tear somewhere in the sac that repairs itself.  Watch your kick counts even though you’re not quite 28 weeks and if you notice a reduction in them or you start contracting, then go in xx
