Baby’s head in cervix

For those who have given birth, the last few days I have been able to feel my baby’s head in my cervix. It feels like she’s trying to head butt her way out and it is pretty painful. Did you have this before you went into labor? Is that what caused your water to break? FTM 38 weeks
