Went for my anatomy scan yesterday and my doctor told me I was being referred to a high risk specialist because she couldn’t get all of the images needed at my anatomy scan. After speaking with my husband when he got home from work, I called back up to the doctors office confused as to why I was having to see a high risk doctor when she didn’t mention anything abnormal. The nurse I spoke to said, “She noted enlarged heart structures, so it is probably due to that.” My doctor never once mentioned that to me at my appointment. I’m going back in at 2:00 today to speak with my doctor about this, in the meantime I have been extremely anxious and up all night crying and could really use some advice. Has anyone had any experience with enlarged heart structures on their anatomy scan?
