accutane experiences ??

hi! after 8yrs of dermatologists suggesting accutane for my acne, i finally caved.

i’ve read up on a lot of the side effects, but i was wondering if anyone here has any first-hand experience?

what symptoms did you experience (especially worried about the “purge”, heart/gut issues, mental health issues)? how bad were they? did the pros outweigh the cons? did your acne come back after stopping treatment?

ultimately— would you recommend or advise against accutane?
