Notary

Any notaries on here? I’ve got my will done up and it needs signatures from witnesses (which aren’t on the same pages as the notary pages) can the witnesses sign and then I sign in front of a notary? Or does the notary have to be done at the same time the witnesses sign? I’ve asked my lawyer but his answer was vague. I’m hoping I can have the witnesses sign and then go get the notary done instead of dragging them down to the office without me
