Husband quit his job...

My husband came home super pissed off. He's a AP U.S History teacher for a high school. I'm a prison guard at a both female and male prison. My husband has been complaining about his job a lot the past couple years. He said he only has 10 history books for 211 students. That they're setting these kids up to fail. He has no school supplies. Stuff like that. Today was the day he was done. The dean came in and called out too students to stand up. One was a girl and another a boy. He called out their uniforms. Girls skirt was too short. Boys was wearing the wrong color. They had changed the uniform colors from last year. Last year you could wear a red, light blue, and navy blue pollo. They got rid of red this year. The dean was yelling at them and made the 10th grade cry and he said his parents couldn't afford more uniforms this year so he had to wear last year's. The girl said she will get her mom to bring her a new skirt but the dean said in front if everyone "Nope. You're both being suspended". He pulled the kids out if class and my husband stepped out to talk to him. He told the Dean there's no reason to suspend them because her skirt isn't short, she's just tall and he will run to target to get the boy a new shirt but he said "No. I'm not playing this. They know the rules. There's plenty of places hiring so there's no excuse for his parents to not get him proper uniforms and being tall is no excuse". He got into a fight with the dean and said he's done. Told his whole class that they are amazing students and this has nothing to do with them. Backed up and left. He said they've given him no resources to help with their education and now are suspended his students for dumb reasons and humiliating them. I want to support my husband's decision. Just wish he talked to me before quitting.

Edit: The school isn't upscale at all. They voted years ago for our entire district to wear uniforms.
