A little TTC PSA, please take the time to read!!
Y’all this is just to be helpful. Not at all to be a bi**h. I’ve been on here since 2015, pregnant with my third baby (hopefully it sticks) and I’ve seen a lot. Just a few things that may help everyone out. I’m always on here voting and helping when I can. This is also not at all a pregnancy announcement so I hope no one is upset with my post.
Blue dye tests suck. They absolutely SUCK. I have personally been victimized with their false positives especially the equate brand. If the line is not absolutely clear and within the time frame I would not trust it. Wait a few days and try a different brand. And absolutely DO NOT hold them up to the light.
FRER although very sensitive can give off a bad indent. If you take one and it’s a faint grey line it’s an indent. The line has to visibly have pink color to it to be positive (at least in my experience). Digitals take more HCG to be positive.
Do not post old tests (yellow in color), taken apart tests or tests that you left for over an hour and came back to. They’re all invalid. Even if it was positive to begin with. No if’s, ands or buts about it. I mean you can post them but everyone will comment what I just said.
In my humble opinion 6-8dpo is wayyyyyyyyyyyy to early to be testing. Believe me I should know. You can get a BFN all those days and a dye stealer on 9-10dpo. OR, you won’t test positive until after you’ve missed AF completely. You are not out until AF shows. Every cycle can be different. You could have ovulated later. You don’t know unless you confirm O.
Different brands pick up different levels of HCG. I used pregmates this cycle and even after a positive digital I didn’t get a real dark line on the pregmate until today which is the day I have completely missed AF at 17dpo. It all depends and it is very frustrating. Baby dust to all and I will help in any way I can if anyone needs!!
