Castor oil?

Has anyone tried castor oil for induction? Or know someone who has? What was your experience with it?

I’ve honestly heard it’s one of the most dangerous things to try because it’s so potent it can make the baby pass meconium and they can aspirate on that and go into distress. I’ve never tried it personally but I wouldn’t recommend 🥴

My friend did it. It sent her into labor but she pooped during the whole process. Baby was fine.

Honestly the risk of using castor oil just isn’t worth it. It can cause baby to poop in the womb and if they inhale it, it can cause major issues at birth.

A girl in my last pregnancy group almost lost her baby because of using Castor oil, it can cause the baby distress and to pass meconium in the womb, which is very dangerous

So my sister did this. She was 38 weeks and I think 4
Or 5 days. And all it did was give her diarrhea (it’s supposed to)  and nausea and painful contractions that didn’t amount to anything. She said she wouldn’t try it again
