Has anyone gone into labour…

…that’s pretty much sat on their ass for the last few weeks!? I know keeping moving and walking encourages labour to come on but I get such bad lightening crotch and back ache I have hardly done much at all but wondering if this is just a guaranteed way of making yourself overdue?! Nearly 40 weeks…

With my first I was put on bed rest at 26 weeks and had to stop working because I had an active job, so I laid at home and did nothing all day. She came at 38 weeks. Every pregnancy is different but there is hope lol

I was only really active while I worked. I stopped working at the end of august for my last month I was just home. I would do things around the house but that’s about it. We started going on 30-40 minute walks around the neighborhood but not often, I was also In too much pain. The last 2 days before I went into labor I did go on long walks.

I was 39+1 my doctor at my 39 week appointment told me my cervix was no where near ready for labor. My baby was still high and my cervix as well. When he came he came fast tho. I labored at home from 8pm to 2 am. He was born within 4 hours of us arriving to the hospital. You got this mama 💪🏻 this was my easiest delivery and the only pregnancy where I did the bare minimum my last few weeks lol.

Ah ok sounds pretty similar then. How many weeks were you when you went into labor

I sat for about a month before he was born. He came 9 days early and almost 9 pounds. I had such bad sciatica pain I couldn’t move around too much. Moving and curb walking does help though

I haven’t yet (I take simple walks at the dog park at night when I can though) 🥲 I feel you I’ve been so tired lately I’ve been taking naps every day and laying in the bed mostly all day. But I have been losing my mucus plug for the last two days with a bit of bloody show, if that makes you feel any better maybe I’m making a bit of progress with just relaxing 😂 I’m 41 weeks and 1 day ☹️

Moving is always helpful however I feel like I also see so many people saying they’ve gone absolutely everything like me lol and still nothing so honestly you probably are just fine laying low and relaxing !

Walking certainly helps but listen to your body
