Flu shot

I hope this isn’t a dumb questions but when do you recommend getting the flu shot?

I’m high risk, asthmatic, and almost 10weeks pregnant and very nervous about anything except for getting an us and bloodwork.

Is it ok getting it first trimester; when did you get yours?

Talk with your OB or MFM but I was in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters come flu season for each of my pregnancies. Probably the earlier the better as it’s better than getting the flu itself.

I definitely had flu jab and am fine. I have lung disease and pulmonary infarction plus multiple other high risk factors. Prevention is always best as is minimisation.

I had mine in the first trimester 🥰My consultants always stressed it was better than the potential complications caused by the flu. Have a chat with your Dr and see if they can reassure you or give you their thoughts too maybe?. Take care 🤗
