Is 1200 plenty for me?

Hi,

My friend recently found the “1200 is plenty” subreddit. I’ve been trying to have a healthier lifestyle when it comes to food choices. She’s been urging me to do it and has been talking about how much food you can get out of 1200. I’m a 5’7 woman, 20 yrs, that gets in 12k steps a day and an hour long bike ride every day that spans 2 miles.

She’s been badgering me hard, saying I’m not tall enough to eat the amount I currently do. I checked out the sub myself, and found it to be way less to eat than what she said. I’m not sure what to think.
