On Saturday, I went to urgent care for a uti. I have never had a uti before. At the time, I didn’t have any abdominal or back pain. At urgent care there was blood in my urine which I didn’t have at home. She prescribed me antibiotics and some pain reliever for when I pee (makes your urine orange). She also said my urine was going to be sent to a lab and results would be in in a few days. Later that evening I started getting back pain and cramps.

I called on Sunday and she said as long as I’m not nauseous or have a fever it’s not a kidney infection so I should be okay. But if either happen I need to go back in. My back pain is still continuing.

It’s Monday, I stayed home from work today and my back honestly felt a lot better. It just felt sore. I took some excedrin for a headache when I woke up but for the most part I felt fine all day. Until about 5pm, now the back pain is back and I’m not sure what to do.

Could this be a kidney stone? I have heard that kidney stones cause back pain. It’s stayed in the same spot though so I’m not sure what it could be or if it is normal for a UTI to cause back pain like this.
