Feeding baby solids?

Hey ladies,
My baby is almost 6 months in 10 days. We started trying some food. Every time he has gagged and thrown up😳 I don't remember my first doing this. What about your LO? Are they eating yet? Have they gotten used to it?

My first child was like that, didn’t really swallow anything until 7 months and didn’t seem to really enjoy eating until 8 months. Loves eating, no problem is 3.5 years now. My younger 2 were interested at 5 months 🤷‍♀️.

My first baby did that the first time I gave her carrots. So to tone down the flavor I mixed a small amount of carrots with her cereal then gradually added more carrots

It probably took my LO about 2 weeks to get used to food and eating right with her chewing and tongue action as well as her digestive system working properly, she would sometimes throw up while eating or afterwards, I just put it down to new tastes and experiences but she is fine now so hang in there it will get better.
Might also be a little early to start for bubs, so if your really worried maybe stop and wait another couple of weeks and start again, they have a whole lifetime for eating. a week or two now won’t matter
