๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽ€Our baby girl is here!!๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ’•

On Monday 10/11/21 I was induced. Cytotec helped to thin my cervix so I decided to skip the pitocin since I was dilating. I did get an epidural at 4-5 cm, unfortunately it only numbed mostly my left side and I could still feel most of my right side. I began to feel really weak, my heart was racing and I was having palpitations. It was a huge sign to me that whatever was in the epidural was making me feel like I didnโ€™t even have the strength to give birth. I felt as though I could pass out and my ears began ringing. I stopped the epidural and began to slowly feel better the more it wore off. By the time I was feeling stronger contractions it was apparent that I would be giving birth without pain meds. My midwife checked me and said I was about 6 cm, a few minutes later my water broke on its own and thatโ€™s when baby started to make her way down. I could feel her coming fast. In fact she was born about 20 minutes after my water broke. Thatโ€™s how quickly I went from a 6 to a 10! Not going to lie the pain was immense! However the only thing that helped ground me was the fact that Iโ€™ve watched so many nurse midwife videos on how to breathe through labor. Even though I didnโ€™t plan to have a pain med free birth, Iโ€™m glad it happened the way it did. Worth all the pain! Sheโ€™s here, sheโ€™s healthy and we are doing well! Welcome to the world Lilyana Juliet!! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•
