Zyrtec for 1 year old??

Has anyone given Zyrtec to their younger kids? My daughter’s pediatrician recommended it to me for her but I’m kind of iffy. I know her doctor wouldn’t recommend anything she wouldn’t do with her own kids but I’m wondering if anyone else has some experience/opinions on it for the younger ones.

Yes my 2 year old has been taking it for a year or so bc he always had a stuffy nose due to allergies she just gave us a different dose to give him!

My son took Zyrtec when he was little and had TERRIBLE night terrors like screaming out in his sleep every time he had it. I quit giving it to him and it never happened again lol

Yes my daughter has been taking it daily for a couple years now. Never hurt her & it helps!

My 2 and 4 year old have taken it straight for 6 months because they suffer with consistent ear infections. Pediatrician and ENT said to give it to them daily.

I was prescribed liquid Zyrtec for my one year old, she gets these random allergic break outs that we can’t pinpoint. I have no problem with it because it’s better than giving Benadryl all the time. I will say I don’t use it daily, I use it as needed. And there are times when that’s daily.
