I used metronidazole gel for 5 days as directed and now my vagina feels extremely irritated and sore.. is it a yeast infection?

Answer

yeast infections are characterized by white, cottage cheese like discharge, almost sweet or beer smelling discharge, itchiness and sometimes pain or bleeding.
The main indicator I would say is if you’re not itchy or having white, chunky discharge then I wouldn’t say it’s a yeast infection. 
It could be something else. Maybe the previous infection has gotten worse, call your doctor who prescribed the metronidazole.
