Mesh bumpers?

Are mesh bumpers considered safe or no? I’m honestly at a loss of what to do with my little one. He ends up like this more often than not and he screams cause he is stuck obviously. I know nothing in the crib and other bumpers aren’t safe but wasn’t sure about the mesh ones. Just looking for feedback, no judgement.

I’ve only ever used the mesh crib bumpers. They can breath through them God forbid they got stuck with their face against it and it def helped keeping body parts and pacifiers in the crib. 
I was always led to believe they are safe, but that’s just my experience.

Not safe. Anything added to the crib is considered a SIDS risk. When our daughter kept getting stuck we upgraded her to a toddler bed

Yeah technically not safe. My 5 month old keeps doing the same thing. I have found her sleep sack helps to keep her from getting fully stuck. She can still get her little foot in between the slats, but it prevents her from getting much of her leg in between.

Sleep sack! Keeps the arms free so they can safely roll but the legs confined so they don't get stuck in the rails. They're great!

I would put them in a sleep sack! We use a copper pearl one and because it keeps their legs in the sack my 5 month old can get her legs stuck between the crib railings 👌🏽

Try the Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit!! My 4.5 month old started rolling and getting stuck like that around 4 months old. Now in the Sleepsuit, she can’t roll and BONUS - she only wakes up once a night!
