Low fetal fraction-abnormal NIPT results

My OB called me today saying my NIPT test came back abnormal (didn’t say which ones specifically) but she wants me to retest bc my fetal fraction was 1.7%.

I’m so sad and freaking out because come on—even with low fetal fraction it tested an abnormality so how is more fetal dna going to test possibly negative. My OB seemed to think it can be a fluke because of the fetal fraction.

Has anyone had anything like this happen before and turn out to be negative/okay?
