Normal to be light sleeper?

My 2 1/2 week old I swear is such a light sleeper. If he hears my toddlers toys or if my toddler talks he wakes instantly and starts screaming cause he has woke up while I rock him. Is it normal for them to be such light sleepers?

Yup that’s normal. Before your baby was born, they had constant sound in utero. So the world outside it like too quiet and any little random harsh sound will be scary to them. Try using white noise for baby.

Yes that can be normal… babies are individuals too, just like adults they can have different sleep habits and abilities. 
White noise could help the sounds not be as startling, if you have an overhead vent for your stove you could run that while baby is sleeping, or get a white noise machine and run it in the background. Things like vacuuming can be soothing for them too.
