Forhead temperature of 102.8 requires ER?

We are on day 2 of fighting high grade fever, cough, and sniffles. Went to urgent care on Friday night for cough only before fever and sniffles started. Tested negative for Covid19 and influenza, and got sent home diagnosed with virus. That same night fever started quickly up 103.8 but tylenol brought it down to 99. I've been monitoring him since then and now alternating motrin and tylenol as needed. My friend thinks he caught RSV from her family because we were dog sitting for her this past week while they were out of town and several days after she dropped off her dog my toddler started showing symptoms of illness. Is 102.8 forhead temp dangerous?
