Faint line followed by a negative test?

I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning at 12 dpo and it came back with what I thought was a faint line, but the tests were slightly expired so I tried again this morning with a different type of test and can’t see anything. Was the first one just in evaporation line?? 😢
