Are you allowing anyone (unvax or vax for Covid, flu, etc) to visit after you have your baby?

I’m just curious to see how everyone is handling the visitations. My mom is vaccinated, and she will be here for a week to watch my 3 yo while I give birth to my second. My dad is not vaccinated, but I know he is very very cautious about who he’s around & safety. I personally don’t care. But I will be limiting the number of people that are around her.

From a week old we will allow anyone who is double vaccinated, plus vaccinated against Whooping Cough and Flu. 
They are instructed not to kiss babies face.

I will allow visitors when I feel I am ready for them, vaxxed or unvaxxed. And I’m my opinion- their vaccination status doesn’t even matter because you can still contract and pass covid if you’ve had the vaccine or not 🤷🏼‍♀️
But no, I do not plan to immediately allow visitors.

We are I guess on the opposite side. My mom Lord willing will be at our house for the birth (hoping for a homebirth). She will be able to help with my oldest 2. After delivery and if everything goes well we won't have any visitors probably til next day. No one recently vaccinated (covid, flue etc...) will be allowed around baby because of shedding. No one who is sick or recently sick  allowed either. Other than that just playing it by ear. No masks required.

I swear I don’t understand the “only if vaccinated” just bc a person is vaccinated does not mean they can’t contract a virus and spread it to baby 🤦🏽‍♀️
Me, personally, vaccinated or not, a week after baby girl is born everyone will be wearing a mask.

We have very strict rules that family and friends will be following if they want to come see the baby. Vaccinated or not EVERYONE will be wearing a mask along with washing hands and sanitizing before holding the baby. Unless the person can come with a negative covid test that was taken within 24 hours before. For example. My MIL will be coming to visit from out of state and she will be staying with us for a week so we will just require her to get a rapid test on her way to our home from the airport.

Lots of vaccines don’t prevent spread, like whooping cough and covid, just the individual (sometimes). I’m more concerned with the usual flu, stomach bug, and cold. I don’t want visitors until the baptism at 40 days and even then … limited touching. I breastfeed and keep my baby in a sling so that helps. People lie about their vaccine status and health anyways. “Oh it’s just allergies! 🤧”

I'm too "far" for visitors. Both our Moms passed otherwise it would be them. Hubs dad is supposed to stay with kids. His wife who knows but I have 2 older so if he doesn't it's fine and Hubs can just come home. Sis will come out for sure but I think that's it & Im fine by it. 😉 hoping for safe, quick & smooth.

I put “No to Visitors” but that truly only applies to the first week. Between wanting to bond with my boyfriend and baby as a unit, and the start of recovery, I don’t think I’ll have the patience for other humans in my space.
After the first week, it’ll be visitors (vaxxed or unvaxxed) with some of the same rules listed above:
• masks required
• limited visit times (with the exception of my retired mom who will come to help)
• no kisses/excessive touching
• hand washing 
• no visiting if you are showing any signs of ANY sickness…
This is the first grand baby on my boyfriend’s side so they’re having a harder time accepting the rules I’ve come up with vs my side of the family. Thank goodness for the Hosp Rules under COVID that cover me there. Once we’re home, I’ll have to put my phone on DND to avoid them 😂.

Provided he holds out to 37 weeks, I'll have my son at home. We plan to do the same thing we did with our previous 2 babies (born Nov 2018 and May 2020). My mom/parents(if my dad is in town) will come over after my midwife leaves and we're ready and bring lunch/dinner. After they leave we'll see how we feel and then communicate with my in laws about when they can come over and if we need anything. It worked really well after our first so we did it again with our second and it keeps everything covered. If this is a rougher delivery for whatever reason we'll delay the visits until baby and I are up for it. My parents will take the dogs and my in laws will take our older kids(undecided which get to stay for delivery and which don't) and give us a few days to do initial peds visits and establish breastfeeding and heal. Other visitors we will play by ear. 
All the grandparents have covid vaccines, I haven't asked about flu, but the plan would be the same either way. We're not requiring masks.
