Little kids are usually honest. I mean, they will tell secrets adults told them to keep quiet and repeat stuff they heard without knowing it was wrong to say. Maybe your child is telling the truth. I would look for physical signs like bruises and be more alert.

My three year lies about having a poopy diaper. Like I can smell it and see it if I check but he’ll deny being poopy to my face. if something got broke and I ask him what happened, he would say he did it. Only for me to find out later it was my older son or one of the dogs. He lies often. So for me to believe him I’d talk to everyone involved because there is always more than one side to a story.
