Looking for some advice.

Can your periods restart before the 6 weeks? I’m exactly 6w post c section today but have been heavy bleeding for 2 days. And I mean heavy, like heavier than I bled after the c section. Like it’s got me feeling dizzy.

I’m soaking through lilets maternity pads with one gush. It’s all fresh bright red blood not old so I’m guessing it must be period but midwife is saying it’s not it’s still lochia, so by her statement I should rush to A&E as it should be so heavy this late.

So confused. Anyone else have heavy period return sooner than the books say?
