Hi so I wanted to know how long it took people to get their periods after having the iud removed? A little background I got mine taken out September 7th 2 days later I had some light bleeding until the 13th. On September 18-20th I had some pink spotting that was there only when I wiped. Since then I have not had a period I have taken 3 tests so far that are negative I am taking a digital one tomorrow morning, but tomorrow also makes 6 weeks since I got my iud removed. A friend who had the same iud as me said it took 6 weeks for her cycle to turn normal. I thinking of calling my OBGYN if the test tomorrow morning is still negative.

Also I have a annual pap appointment on Nov. 5th and I also had a positive Covid test back on the 21st of September.

Update: I called my doctor’s office today they said that I can take a while for the lining of the uterus to build up because my iud is made to thin the lining and if it continues to be an issue we will discuss it again on my pap appointment on the 5th of Nov.
