problems with condoms

so my boyfriend and i started having sex recently. it’s my first time but not his. both of us want to use condoms to make sure we’re safe but he goes soft every time he sees a condom. i dont really know what to do but neither of us want to continue with the risk of a pregnancy. do y’all have any advice?
