Covid wedding in my back yard!

Mary • Wife💍 Angel momma🧸 Rainbow due March🌈

My husband and I tied the knot October 1st in our own backyard. Overall was really nice. Super small ceremony with just a few of our friends and family.

The weather was gorgeous, the sun was shining. We spoke our vows in our garden under our Japanese maple tree, which is a very special place to us. I cried just a little looking into his eyes and realizing that this is the man who I will spend the rest of my life with. A family friend was ecstatic to be our officiant, which made it all the more special. My best friend even baked a beautiful cake, which we were so grateful for. We all had lunch together and later on just the two of us went to a fancy Spanish restaurant for dinner.

It wasn’t all ideal. My husband forgot to get his hair cut and then asked AN HOUR before if it was okay for him be a little late, so he could go to the barber (to our wedding??? Uh no, why would you even ask that?? Just gel it back or something!). My neighbor invited himself and watched in his pajamas (we just let him vibe, because we’re a close knit neighborhood anyway). My two witnesses didn’t get to the ceremony until a few minutes in. My dad refused to go, because the ceremony wasn’t catholic. And my favorite: the train came through right in the middle of the ceremony and we had to cover our ears and wait for it to pass🤦‍♀️😂

At the end of the day it was everything I could have asked for: Marrying the love of my life with some wonderful friends and family in a place that is close to our hearts. And a day I’ll never forget❤️
