I have been a lot happier in life since we had our babies and I think we have a happier marriage and I was telling my husband that and he responded that he actually feels our children have taken me away from him. That we as a couple we were so much better before having children. I asked him what I could do to make this better for him and he said to pay more attention to him and I said I will. Then a few days later one of our children rushed into the kitchen asking for something while my husband was talking about his day (he had just arrived from work) and I said "one second my love" to my husband and tended to our child and when I came back to the kitchen my husband said "that's exactly what I am talking about". I mean, I understand, but at the same time what was I supposed to do? Ignore the little human? I came back to my husband almost immediately.
