Spit up question - two weeks old (update)
My baby is two weeks old today and I’m worried about his spit up. For the past 3-4 days at least he has been spitting up large amounts. It seems to be getting more frequent each day. After/during about every other bottle (formula) he will forcefully spit up, almost like projectile, and it seems like a whole bottle full comes out. At first it didn’t seem to upset him but now he does cry for a second after it happens. I feed with him sitting up pretty straight, I try to burp him after about every ounce (he is a noisy eater and does seem to be gulping and taking in a lot of air), we are using tommee tippee anti colic bottles. He’s been eating about 3-4 ounces every 4 hours. My older two kids had acid reflux and were on prescription meds but I don’t remember them spitting up like this. I’m starting to worry that he wont be gaining weight because he’s spitting so much up. He has a dr appt on Wednesday but wondering if anyone has any insight/advice/tips and tricks?
Update- poor babe was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis this morning and will be having surgery tonight 😭
