Reassurance scan?

Are reassurance scans worth it? 
I’m having extreme anxiety over something going wrong that I might have missed.
My symptoms dropped for about 4/5 days and came back slightly today but I just want to make sure my little baby is okay. It’s my first pregnancy and I have high anxiety.

I would say no because that can get expensive quickly and actually though it sounds counterintuitive, may worsen your anxiety. You’re telling your brain that the fear is only able to be calmed by getting an ultrasound. 
I totally understand the anxiety and wanting an ultrasound, I just think it’s not the best option. But no judgment it that’s what you decide to do!

I would say yes if it makes you feel better 😊 I have gone back to my obstetrician early for the same reason and she does a scan there.

I definitely think it’s worth it. I am pregnant with twins (we did ivf and had an early scan at 7weeks), and I’d only been having such mild symptoms, no sickness I was getting so worried that something was wrong so we paid for a reassurance scan at 10 weeks just to check everything was ok and it was worth every penny! Would definitely recommend if you’re worried.

Private scans are only around $100 in Sydney! Worth it  for the peace of mind for sure.
