It is the beginning of the end of your marriage or relationship.  Mistrust and emotional issues will follow and surely a divorce at some point in most situations where marriages bring in another party or 2.   Threesomes are a terrible idea if you want to stay in a relationship.  
If you wanna cheat then go cheat.  You will get caught eventually but it will probably last longer than if you both decide to bring in someone.   And it won’t stop with one time.
