Newborn Cloth Help?

Question

Hey! I cloth diapered my son after he was like...1yr old. 😅 But I want to start it from the get go when our little girl gets here! I realized today that only 1 of the diaper we have, have an umbilical snap & I can't find many brands with them. 🥲
Should I just wait til the cord falls off to start? Can someone point me in the direction of a brand with umbilical snaps/cut outs? 🥺

We waited until her umbilical cord fell off. She was also on the small side so even at the smallest settings it was a few weeks before she fit in the cloth diapers

Honestly, I just wait till the cord falls off. It isn’t worth the week or so of waiting to have a bunch of special covers to accommodate it to me. I tried winging it with my 2nd because hers took longer than I anticipated to fall off (9 days) and I ran out of disposables, but her cord was definitely getting irritated so I went right back to disposables for a few more days.

I waited till the cord fell off because I didn’t have any that had snap downs for the cord. I tried to put one on before the cord fell off but it kept making the cord moist and it seemed unsanitary 😩 so we waited a couple weeks

I waited until the cord fell off and fully healed mostly because he was just too small for them 
This was 3 weeks old and they were still a touch big even on the shortest rise.  He’s 7 weeks now and still wearing them on the same rise setting but looser around the waist and they finally fit properly lol

I also just waited until the stump came off. Plus in the first week there’s all that meconium and it’s so sticky.

We waited, and it didn't take that long. Plus, you're changing SO much in the first week, it's impossible to keep up with that much laundry! But I will say investing in a Spray Pal was a great choice for some of the really bad blowouts!
